After graduation I spent three years working in the resource sector before starting back to school initially at Camosun and UVIC and finished in Quebec City at Laval. After graduation I managed two Quebecois Music acts before getting into the telecommunications business and moved back to the West Coast to Vancouver in 1985. Married Wendy and her then 4 year old daughter in 1986. I started to help Wendy with her Travel Agency early but after exciting but costly entrepreneurial initiatives with Cloth Diapers (who remembers Babykins) and telecom in Viet Nam I joined my wife full time at the Agency in 92.
Since our second date, basketball has been a central focus in our family (I had to prove to her that her high school (Hillside in West Van) did not play at provincials in 73 – I had the program). The closest I could get Wendy to Victoria was Tsawwassen and that has been our home for over 35 years. We have three sons and as of 2022 three granddaughters and one grandson
You can find Wendy and I skiing at Whistler in the winter and golfing at Beach Grove in the summer. Work still gets in the way of things in the shoulder seasons as our business dictates that we must travel a lot, (and are so happy to be back at it). Our 4 grandchildren all live close by and so far no major health issues. I am the cook in the family, love the big bold reds and have recently gone to the dark side (bought an E-Bike) and got rid of all the carbon frames and wheels. Stan Gill wouldn’t believe this but I completed an Iron Man with one of my sons in 2010. I am (was) active in South Delta with youth sport, our beloved Delta Hospital, as well as Oceanwise and United Way.
